Friday Super Buffet at Amaya Food Gallery, Amari Johor Bahru | Amaya Food Gallery at Amari Johor Bahru has come up with new buffet dinner promotions until end of October this year.

The buffet dinners are on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm. A super feast not to be missed is the Friday Super Buffet Dinner. The price is RM138 nett and the second person gets 50% off the price. The discount also applies to children from 6 to 12 years old.


Sous Chef Patrick Ooi and his talented culinary team will awaken your senses with delicious salads, appetisers, main courses, and desserts.


Start off with a selection of handpicked garden greens accompanied by a variety of dressings and toppings such as Cucumber, Cherry Tomatoes, Onion Rings, Green and Red Pepper, Alfalfa Sprouts, Pea Shoots, and Carrots.


Head over to the Bamboo Baskets where you will find a variety of steamed seafood. Indulge in Flower Crabs, Tiger Prawns, Flower Clams, Ikan Kembong, Ikan Selar, Lala, Squids and Scallops, served with Sambal Kicap, Sambal Belacan, Chilli Coriander Lime Dip, Thai Chilli Sauce, Hot Sauce, Tabasco and Cocktail Sauce.


If you are craving for Sashimi, there is Chilled Salmon Fillet, Maguro and Marinated Baby Tako with Wasabi, Ginger Pickles and Soya Sauce.


For appetisers, the chefs have prepared Local Fruit Pickles (Jeruk), Cured Beetroot Salmon Tartare with Avocado Cucumber, Thai Spicy Grilled Beef with Glass Noodles, Roasted Potato Salad with Chicken Ham and Mustard, and Rojak with homemade Rojak Sauce and Peanuts.


A must-try are the soups which are Basil Tomato Shellfish Bisque and Double Boiled Winter Melon Soup with White Fungus and Free Range Chicken.


Delightful local snacks are Sesame Balls, Thai Pandan Chicken Rolls and Vegetable Samosas accompanied by Chilli Sauce, Raita Yoghurt and condiments.


Feast your eyes on the carving station. You can't miss the juicy Rendang Beef Short Ribs with Lontong Rice and Coconut Kerisik.

The best part of the buffet is the hot selections like:


A La Minute Grilled Premium Marbling Beef with Au Jus, Black Peppercorn and Mushroom Sauce; 


Hong Kong Roasted Duck with Chinese Herbal;


Assorted Satay with Nasi Impit, Peanut Sauce, Cucumber and Onion;


12 Hours Slow-Cooked Leg of Lamb with Tortilla Bread, Lettuce, Onion and Condiments;


Sea Salt Crusted Norwegian Salmon Fillet with Lemon Wedges and Citrus Emulsion;



Wok-fried Fresh Water Prawns Tom Yam Style;



Malay Style Caramel Venison Ribs;


Tandoori Chicken Tika;


Wok-fried Mee Sua with Fresh Shrimps and Chicken;


Steamed Broccoli & Cauliflower with Baling Mushroom Superior Sauce.


There is also Indonesian Fried Rice with Ikan Bilis if you are "nasi person". If you like noodles, check out the Penang Hokkien Prawn Noodle Soup with fresh prawns, fish cakes, hard-boiled egg, water spinach, bean sprouts, chilli paste and fried shallots.



Amaya Food Gallery has a special kids corner where they can play and enjoy their own little buffet of Breaded Fish Fingers, Tempura Chicken Nuggets and Cheesy Potato Wedges.




Pastry Chef Syeriff has baked mouth-watering pastries and cakes such as Lemon Meringue Trats, Pandan Chiffon Cake, Thai Red Rubies, Oreo Cheesecake and Raspberry Lychee Rose Gateau. Please your palate with Chilled Soya Bean Curd with Longan; Mango Sticky Rice ad Glutinous Rice Balls with Peanut and Sugar.

The Apam Balik with Crushed Peanuts is absolutely tempting and so are the assorted Malay Kuih; Warm Apple Crumble with Vanilla Sauce; Warm Bubur Pulut Hitam and Bubur Cha Cha with Banana.



The variety of Malay Kuih consists of Kuih Tepung Pelita, Seri Muka, Kuih Ketayap, Kuih Lapis, Kuih Lopes, and Kuih Bingka Ubi.
