Sporting Accessibility Reigns Supreme at Decathlon Toppen’s Opening Weekend with Hari Sukan Decathlon | The opening of the 11th Decathlon Malaysia outlet received an overwhelming turnout from the public, as over 25,895 people attended its grand opening at Toppen Shopping Centre, Johor Bahru, from the 14th to 15th of January. In celebration of Decathlon’s first foray outside of Klang Valley, the company hosted its FIRST EVER Hari Sukan Decathlon - a three-day extravaganza opened to the public free of charge, allowing the community to come together to experience the true beauty of sporting accessibility.

The truly disruptive spectacle left visitors exhilarated with festivities across the sports festival filled with sporting activities, workouts, games, and performances, welcoming a new chapter for Johorean sports lovers and leaving them with glistening smiles and spirited laughter. 

“The opening of our first Decathlon lifestyle store in Johor Bahru at Toppen Shopping Centre is such an exciting moment to share among fellow Decathlon members and sports enthusiasts in the Southern region! With Hari Sukan Decathlon, we aim to make sports accessible to many. Sports is what we are passionate about, and we are pleased to be able to fulfil Johoreans' needs for sporting goods and services; we want to empower them to have an active lifestyle while refining their sporting capabilities,” said Karim Cheboub, Retail Leader of Decathlon Malaysia.

Visitors of Hari Sukan Decathlon immersed themselves in a carnival of exciting activities at every corner of the Toppen Shopping Centre open car park ranging from Mega-Workouts by Manic Studio, Mega-Yoga, Mega-Zumba and Mega-Kpop X dance by Yo Studio, Mega-boxing with Anka, skateboarding, horse riding, pushbike competition, football and futsal matches by Yayasan JDT, and various workout performances by Barragaz, Threef Jump Rope and Raja Freestyler. Thanks to the support from Johoreans, Hari Sukan Decathlon had over 500 participants participate in the Hari Sukan Decathlon activities during the weekend.
